Important Safety Information

Luna Glass is intended to support people with night blindness during everyday activities, by enhancing low-light scenes in real time. It provides a brighter image with improved color and contrast to help users better detect objects, edges, and obstacles. Luna Glass is not recommended for people with sensitivity to light. There are no limits to how often or how long the device can be used. For a full list of all safety warnings, please consult the product manual.

Please handle Luna Glass with care. As a first-generation early adopter device, it contains delicate optics and electronic components that require careful handling to prevent scratches or damage.

Please take some time to get comfortable using Luna Glass in a safe and familiar setting before relying on it in public or unknown environments.

Safe us during activites

Use Luna Glass indoors and outdoors only when it is safe to do so. Never use Luna Glass in situations where device malfunction could cause serious harm, such as:

  • Driving and operating any vehicle.
  • Operating machinery or power tools.
  • Activities requiring high coordination or full attention, including running, cycling, sports, cooking, cutting with sharp tools such as knives and scissors, or handling power equipment.

Electrical safety and charging

Luna Glass works using electrical components that are sensitive to humidity and dust. Keep the following in mind when using Luna Glass:

  • Always use the supplied charging cable.
  • Do not use or change the device with wet hands.
  • Keep ports and connectors clean and free of dust or debris.
  • Do not use the device if any part is damaged, loose or broken.
  • Stop using the device if you notice malfunction signs such as flickering display, unresponsive controls, or abnormal heat, and contact support.

Battery safety

Luna Glass contains a sealed, rechargeable lithium-ion battery that cannot be replaced by the user.

  • Do not expose the device to temperatures above 50°C (122°F) or leave it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
  • Do not open, pierce, crush, or attempt to service the device or battery.
  • If the battery leaks and fluid contacts your skin or eyes, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical attention immediately.
  • Stop using the device immediately if it becomes very hot, emits smoke or odor, swells, or leaks. Place it in a fire-safe area and contact support.

Personal discomfort

In some rare cases, using Luna Glass may cause personal discomfort. Possible side effect may include eye strain or fatigue, motion sickness, depth perception or spatial awareness error and nausea. 

  • Stop using Luna Glass if you experience redness, swelling, itching, or rash. Only resume when symptoms are gone. If symptoms persist, consult a healthcare professional.
  • Ensure the glasses fit properly and do not apply excessive pressure.
  • Keep contact surfaces clean and dry.
  • The device may feel warm (up to 43°C) during normal use. If it becomes unusually hot, turn it off and contact support. The device automatically shuts off above 65°C (149°F).

Additional safety guidance

Please keep the following in mind when using Luna Glass.

  • Luna Glass is not a substitute for a white cane, symbol cane, or guide dog. Use it together with other assistive tools when needed.
  • The device may reduce peripheral vision. Stay aware of your surroundings and turn your head to look around, not just your eyes.
  • Be extra careful when walking, using stairs, or stepping off curbs, as depth perception may be affected.
  • If you see heavy visual noise (static), visibility may be reduced. Only move when you can clearly perceive your surroundings. If there is too little light, use a flashlight to provide light for the device to amplify.
  • Do not move while using low-light mode.
  • Do not move during configuration.
  • The displayed image may not perfectly align with the real world at all distances, especially at close range. This can affect hand-eye coordination.
  • Do not use Luna Glass in rain or snow, and do not submerge it or use it underwater.

Keep away from children and pets

Keep Luna Glass, cables, and accessories out of reach of children and pets. Small parts may present a choking hazard. Cables may present a strangling hazard.

Residual risks

In rare cases, the device may stop displaying a correct image or may stop working, including:

  • Camera stops working (no image);
  • Image freezes or turns green;
  • Device turns off unexpectedly;
  • Hinges loosen or break;
  • Temple tips snap loose during adjustment or use.


If this happens, stop the activity, move to a safe place, and contact support if needed.
